Chef Gustavo is the Head Chef and Owner of Gusto Catering & Meals. Specializing in upscale comfort food with hints of exotic locations, he is available for on-site preparation for intimate gatherings, sushi parties, and personalized meal preparation. Gustavo also offers in-home cooking classes and demonstrations.
Chef Gustavo has had a passion for ingredients and cooking ever since he was a child. While helping his mother garden and prepare ingredients for dinner, he fell in love with the purity, beauty, and transformation of these freshly picked ingredients. Ever since then, cooking has been his passion.
History
Growing up in Tepic, Nayarit Mexico Chef Gustavo has been introduced to some of the most culturally diverse restaurants in both Mexico and the United States. In 2003, after years of creating meals for friends and family, Gustavo decided to take his passion for cooking to a professional level. By enrolling in TMCC and studying Culinary arts he received his associates degree. Gustavo has taken his valuable knowledge gained in school, mixed it with diverse traveling and professional experiences to form his unique cooking techniques, food culture and professionalism in the culinary industry.
